Habitat
Very shallow waters of coral reefs usually near top of outer edges where there are caves, holes, and abundant fire coral.
Range
Southern Florida, Bahamas, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean, including Antilles, to Venezuela.
Size
5-20cm
Behavior
They are rather small, compressed, deep-bodied fishes with forked tails and a single nostril on each side of the head. Can be very aggressive towards own kind.
